Through her edifying lyrics, artist Safya is using her gift to deliver life’s lessons to the present generation of women and men. Inspired predominantly by music by renowned musical activists such as; Bob Marley and Tupac Shakur, among others, Safya chose to set off on a journey similar to her earlier influences. Through her music, she spreads positive and motivating messages especially for women to realize that whatever they are going through is not the worst part of life. As an activist, she has set up an infrastructure for victims of misfortunes like; domestic violence to come together and have a common voice. Safya is indeed a different kind of artist.
Complementary to her work as an activist, the prodigy has released her studio EP titled “Taboo” with tracks that are ear-warming and amazing. The EP follows a multitude of singles and Safya announced recently that she will be releasing an album after this EP.
So many music lovers around the world are being captivated by artist Safya’s agility and many have witnessed her perform live at Australia’s Jamaican Music and Food Festival and on other big stages.
